Makai Chevdo / Khichdi ( Corn Chevda )

Makai Chevdo in some place it known as Makai ni Khichadi. Makai no Chevdo can be eat as it is or with parata.

Quantity 

4 people

Ingredients

Corn (Makai) - 8 pc
Milk - 2 cup
Salt
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Black Pepper powder - 1tbsp

For Vaghar (Tadka) :

Oil - 1 TbspMustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Whole - 1 to 2
Curry Leaves
Green Chilies - 2
Asafoetida (Hing) - pinch

For Garnishing :
Cilantro
Coconut Flakes 


Directions


Shred Corn. 

Now Put 1 tbsp of Oil in a  pan  and add all Vaghar's ( Tadka) ingredents in it.

Add shredded corn in it and add salt as per taste.

Cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Stir in between to prevent sticking.

Add coriander powder and black pepper powder in it.

Once corn is properly cook add milk in it.

Again cook and stir for 5 to 10 minutes till everything properly mix.

Garnish with cilantro and coconut flakes that is optional.

(You can also garnish with thin sev top on it that is optional.

Serve Hot. You can also eat with chapati in a dinner time)
