Bhakarwadi Recipe

Bhakharvadi (Spicy Fried Pastry ) everyone like for Snack. You can fry it  or bake it in the oven. Its popular nasta during Diwali in Gujarat. Bhakarwadi from Vadodra is very famous in Gujrat.






Ingredients

Besan (Chick Pea) Flour - 2 Cups
Wheat Flour - 1 Cup
Rosted Coconut -1 Cup
Roasted Khus-khus/ Poppy seeds - ½ Cup
Roasted Sesame Seeds - ½ Cup
Salt To taste
Chopped Coriander leaves -1 Cup
Green chillies - 2 Pc.
Garam Masala - ½ Tsp
Red Chili Powder - ½ Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
Hing( Asafeotida) - Pinch
Sugar - 1 Tsp
Tamarind water - 2-3 Tsp
Oil -  For Frying

Directions:

Make a paste of Coriander leaves. Green Chilis, Garam Masala, Hing, Sugar and Salt adding oil.

Add Roasted Coconut, Roasted Khus-Khus and Sesame Seeds in it and mix properly. Keep aside.

Make a Dough from Besan and Wheat Flour adding Turmeric Powder, Salt and oil.

Take a ball of dough and roll it on around 8' diameter to make flat roti.

Spread Tamarind water on it and again spread filling on it. 

Now Roll fill roti and seal with water.

Cut it diagonally in small piece .

Now fry it or you can put it in a oven and bake it.

Bhakarwadi is ready to serve.
